ABOUT ME

Being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is so rewarding. Not only do I get to be creative every day, I also get to be a creative coach, offering fresh project ideas and encouragement to my customers and friends. For me, helping someone put together that perfect project for a special occasion is the best feeling in the entire world. After all, creating cards, scrapbook pages, and gift items is about more than just stamps and ink—it’s about sharing a part of yourself with the people you love.

I was born and raised in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. I've called Catawba County home for most of my life, and I can drive less than one mile from my home and look up at the beautiful shades of blue in my favorite mountain chain! I've spent a lot of time in those mountains, where my maternal grandparents were born and eventually retired to enjoy their senior years. Some of my best memories are of sharing special family time with my grandparents, my parents, and my brother on a special weekend or vacation in the mountains. With such wonderful memories, you can imagine why I chose to name my business Karen's Blue Ridge Stamping!

My husband, James, and I have been married since I was 24 years old, and he has supported my love for crafting over many years. He understands that creativity feeds my soul! It isn't much of a leap, as he has the creative spirit, too. He loves to build models of all kinds and has the patience for intricate details. He also worked as a printing pressman for more than 25 years, so he is an expert at mixing and matching colors! Who could be a better supporting demonstrator than someone who understands color, inks, and paper the way he does, right?

While I have become an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator a bit later than many in life, I am certainly no stranger to this incredible company! I've been a customer for more than 23 years and have been involved in paper crafting for all that time. I love making cards, scrapbook pages, and a variety of mixed media projects.

I hope you'll join me on this exciting Stampin' Up! journey by subscribing to my newsletter at www.summeyarts.com. I'd love to share my ideas, keep you informed of seasonal updates and promotions throughout the year, and offer you tips on how to make the most of your crafting supplies.

Thanks again for visiting, and I hope to see you again soon.

May God bless and keep you,

Karen
